British Passport - Renewal & Application
Visas United can assist you in applying for or renewing your British passport, so that you do not have worry about applying online yourself.
Prerequisites
- You are applying for your first British passport.
- You require a passport because have lost your passport.
- You require a passport because your passport has been stolen.
- You require a passport because your passport has been damaged.
- You want to extend your passport, because your current passport is due to expire.
- Your name has changed, for example due to a marriage, and therefore you require a new passport.
Process
Send the relevant order form to auftrag@visasunited.de or if you wish by post (Grupellostraße 21 · 40210 Duesseldorf) or fax 0211 936500-20.
We will prepare your application, for the new passport and send you a declaration form for you to sign and return. We will also require your expired passports (if applicable) and two biometric passport photographs. If you have any other nationality in addition, we also need a coloured copy of the passport you are holding. Should we require additional documents we will inform you.
Once the application is complete Visas United will then forward the passport application to HM Passport Office in the United Kingdom. The current processing time is at least four three to six weeks, once your passport has been issued it will be sent directly from the UK to you by DHL.

Average processing time
The passport processing is carried out in the United Kingdom by HM Passport Office and the average processing time is currently 3-6 weeks from the date of application.
Important: If you are applying for a new passport or you are renewing an expired passport please do not make any confirmed travel plans until you have received your new passport. Should the processing of your passport take longer than 3-6 weeks the HM Passport Office and Visas United are not responsible for the delay and cannot refund any costs. The passport will be sent directly to your home address.
